Military prison
Built in 1913 as a military prison, the building served as a detention centre for various institutions over the past century. From 1925 to 1935 it was a police prison, and from 1933 it was also a "protective custody camp" for political prisoners. During National Socialism, it served as a remand prison for a Wehrmacht court martial in the Kommandantenhaus. From 1947 to 1963, the prison was used by the barracked People's Police and the National People's Army. Since the reconstruction measures in 1993 it has been a residential and office building.
